In May 2002 CASP opened a respite house in Brittas, Co.Dublin, funded through private donation.

These premises allow CASP staff to engage in short term, residential work with participants, family groups and aftercare groups as well as providing service users with an opportunity to get out of their local enviroment and relax in a peaceful, countryside environment at the foothills of the Wicklow mountains.

The house is also being used by families in crisis who benefit from short respite in a different environment. A change is as good as a rest!

This resource is used by other locally based services for staff training and development days.
