C.A.S.P. OUTREACH SERVICES

CASP Outreach Team works with active drug users including those who are waiting to access the methadone programme of CASP or another treatment centre and drug users in prisons. The team providing a range of services including:

 

Homeless Drop in

Monday and Thursday evenings 6.30pm – 8.30pm – This service includes nursing  care, needle exchange, support, acupuncture, food, clothes and laundry facilities (for homeless clients)

 

Home visits

Providing auricular acupuncture, support, information, family and individual referral

 

Street work

Working with clients in the local neighbourhood

 

Community prison links

Providing support to incarcerated clients and their families. CASP also provides support to clients following their release.

DROP IN FACILITIES & SERVICES

CASP provides 2 Weekly Drop In Sessions for drug users who are experiencing issues with homelessness. Our Outreach clients may not necessarily be accessing other services on our programme at this time, however the Outreach drop-in is also be a gatewate for clients on our waiting list.

 

As part of their work, CASP staff meet with homeless persons and provide them with relevant information about local services relevant to their needs.

 

The Outreach Team also makes home visits to those who are awaiting treatment or wishing to detox externally.
