Our Registered General Nurse (Christine Smith) is available Monday to Thursday. Additional primary care service is provided within our Outreach drop in service Monday and Thursday evenings 6.30 - 8.30. Health Education:
Health education is defined as the principle by which individuals and groups of people learn to behave in a manner conducive to the promotion, maintenance, or restoration of health. The ultimate aim of CASP's Health Education is Positive Behavioural Modification.
Education for health begins with people. We hope to motivate our client groups with whatever interests they may have in reducing risky behaviour relating to substance misuse or the impact substance misuse has had on their lives as a family member. CASP aims to facilitate our client grups in developing a sense of responsibility for health conditions, for themselves as individuals, as members of families, and as a community. In controlling the spread of infectious infections health education commonly includes an appraisal of what is known by our client groups about a disease, an assessment of habits and attitudes of the persons they relate to spread and frequency of the disease, and the suggestion of specific means to keep themselves and others safe.
